PRIVATE LESSONS

WELCOME!

Music is for everyone, and learning to play should be as enjoyable as it is rewarding. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your skills, I offer private lessons tailored to your goals and interests, both virtually and in-person. Specializing in guitar, bass, and most stringed instruments, I can guide you through notation, music theory, and technique—whether with a structured approach or by learning your favorite songs. No matter your age or experience level, we'll focus on making music fun, engaging, and personal to you. Let’s start playing!

Matt Lombardi Music, South Kingstown, RI, musician and private lessons

"Our experience with Matt Lombardi has been nothing short of amazing! Both of our children have been taking private lessons with Matt, and the growth we’ve seen in their skills and confidence has been incredible.

Matt is not only an incredibly talented musician but also a kind, patient, and dedicated teacher who truly loves what he does. He fosters a positive and encouraging environment, making each session something our kids look forward to. They always leave with a smile on their faces and excited for the next lesson!

The connection Matt builds with his students is truly special. He inspires a love for music while also teaching responsibility, discipline, and creativity. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend Matt Lombardi Music to anyone looking for top-notch instruction from a passionate and skilled teacher!"

TUITION, SCHEDULING, & POLICIES

SCHEDULING:  Lessons, whether in-person or virtual, can be scheduled at your convenience.  Upon request, you will receive a link to which you can schedule your lessons each week.  Should you wish to create a regular schedule (ex: every Monday), contact to schedule consistent weekly or bi-weekly lessons.  In-person lessons are held in my studio at my private residence in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.

LESSON SCHEDULE HOLD:  In order to secure your lesson time slot(s), you will be required to submit a one-time information form, which includes a request to have a credit card on file.  This card will not be run unless you request to use this method to fulfill your lesson payment, or if the lesson is a no-show (please see rescheduling and cancellation policies for further details).  Lessons are not secured until this form is submitted.

TUITION:  Options for lesson lengths are 30 minutes ($45) or 60 minutes ($75).  Custom options are available, but you must contact directly for quotes; this may consist of "irregular" lesson lengths (45min or 75min) or number of students to participate per lesson.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS:  Cash, check (made to Matthew Lombardi), card (includes an additional 4% processing and convenience fee), and Venmo (linked here).

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS:  Confirmation texts will be sent both 2 days and 24hr prior to your lesson.  All lessons require 12 hour cancellation notice, which you can do directly within the confirmation text that you receive.  To reschedule, you may use the link given within the confirmation text as well, or contact directly.  All texts MUST be "confirmed" in order to avoid the risk of your lesson time slot being over-booked.  No-shows will result in a full lesson charge.

"My 17-year-old is naturally shy and hesitant about new experiences, but Matt put him at ease from the very first lesson. Not only can my son now play the guitar and teach himself new songs, but he’s also gained a renewed sense of confidence.

Matt's supportive and encouraging approach made my son feel comfortable, and he now looks forward to each lesson, proud to share what he’s learned.

Matt is not only talented but also kind, patient, and conscientious. He communicates clearly and is flexible with scheduling. I highly recommend taking lessons with him!"
